でも、今回は「女必殺拳」について書いてみる。そもそもこれを見るきっかけとなったのが、ファミリー劇場でやってた「闘え！ドラゴン」の劇場版4作。倉田保昭主演の同名テレビアクションの劇場版、というよりテレビの26話を4作に分割したような作品で、それぞれ90分ぐらいなのに倉田のアクションが満載なのだ。あの長い足での回し蹴りで敵を次々と倒しまくる姿は爽快で、もっと倉田のアクションを見たいと思い、DISCASで検索。その中で見つけたのがこの「女必殺拳」シリーズだった。
（もっとも、倉田は第1作には出てないんだけど ）

でも、主演の志保美悦子がどんな女優か全く知らなかった。名前は聞いたことあったけど、今まで邦画には完全に疎かったので、「何かのテレビに出てた人かな」ぐらいにしか思ってなかった。それが、実はアクション・スターだったなんて。。。

JACという千葉真一設立のアクションアカデミー所属でデビューした彼女の主演第1作となったこの作品、オープニング・クレジットから彼女の叫びやヌンチャク・アクションが満載で、いったいどんな映画だろうと思いながら見始めたけど、映画はB級らしくグロい描写が満載。でも、その中で彼女の切れの良いアクションがあり、さらに千葉真一も彼女をしっかりサポートし、結果的になかなか楽しい映画となった。

それにしても、今の時代って全然アクションスターっていないよね。日本だけじゃなくて世界を探してもアクションスターはいなくなったと思う。アクション映画はあっても、CGがメインになってたりとか。自らの肉体を駆使するアクションってのはほとんど無くなってるんじゃないかな？

その辺り、70年代にはアクションスターは多かった。全体的にカネをあまり使わずに撮影してたB級映画が多かったこともあり、アクションも肉体が勝負だった。そんな中、ブルース・リーに代表されるカンフー・ブームが世界的に人気を博していた。もちろん日本でも人気で、タランティーノも崇拝する千葉真一が空手ブームを築いてた。そんな中、女ドラゴン・志保美悦子が現れ、女アクションスターが誕生した。数年にわたりブロマイド売り上げナンバーワンだったそうで、今では考えられないようなスゴい時代だった。

もうこのような映画は今後出てこないだろうって考えるとスゴく残念だけど、それでもDVD等で見れるのはウレシイ限り。「闘え！ドラゴン」も再発してくれないかな〜。

ちょっと前に家の外で爆発が連発して聞こえてたけど、実は調布の花火だった。調布は家からかなり近いから、結構聞こえるんだよね。でも、肝心の花火がマンションの陰に隠れて見えない ま、しゃあないね。

では、またTwitterの過去ログを載っけてく。この日は7/4。今ハマってるBaseball Sluggerはこれからも書く機会があるかと思うけど、他にこんなビッグニュースがあった。

• サラ・ペイリンが7/26にアラスカ州知事を辞任することに

去年の9〜11月にアメリカのみならず全世界の話題をさらったペイリンだけど、それ以降は日本では忘れられた存在になったのか、知る限りは今回のニュースも日本では全く話題に上ってなかったと思う。でも、アメリカでは良くも悪くも根強い人気を誇っていて、今回の辞任発表はトップニュースだった。

そもそもなぜこの時期に辞任を表明したのか。その1ヶ月ほど前に、The Late Showのデヴィッド・レターマンが誤ってペイリンの14歳の娘についてセクシャルなジョークを放ったことから、ペイリンが大掛かりな抗議をしたことがあった。それが収まってすぐの辞任発表だけに、表舞台にいい加減嫌気がさしたのか。現地時間で7/3という、家族が集う7/4からの大型連休前に発表されたため、家庭を大事にしての発表という見方もある。

また、同じく最近自伝を出版する契約を結んだこともあり、しばらくは執筆に専念するという見方もある。

でも、それよりも根強い考えとして、2012に備えて徐々に準備を開始するというのがある。まずはRepublican寄りのFOXあたりでニュース番組のコメンテーターをやり、徐々に信頼を回復し、大統領予備選に乗り込む。とにかく人気は絶大なだけあり、信頼の部分を回復出来ればホントに2012年の大統領候補の筆頭になってることも十分考えられる。

。。。とにかく、全ては彼女の考え次第なのだけど。未だ、今後のプランは全く発表されてない。

実はペイリンもTwitterをやってる、というよりアラスカ州知事としてやってて、@AKGovSarahPalinというIDを使ってる。でも、今書いてるのはほとんどアラスカ州知事としてしか書いてないので、全く面白くはないのだけど、辞任する7/26に新たなアカウントで開始するそうだ（IDはまだ未定）。彼女の動向が気になるならそちらをフォローするのもいいかも。

で、Twitterアップデートについて。ここでは結構ベースボールについて書いてた。結構家に帰ってからMLB.tvを観ることが多くて、その試合を見ながらコメントを書いたりするんだよね。昔からメッツ・ファンで、日本ではほとんどテレビでやらない試合をMLB.tv経由で毎試合観れるのはメチャクチャ嬉しくて。勝てば喜び、負ければ愚痴をこぼす。そんな人生もなかなか楽しい♪

でも、それよりこの日でショックだったのが、セントルイス・カージナルスの主砲プーホルズが早くもホームランを30本打ったこと！このペースだと年間60本は行く勢いなんだけど、それに対してメッツで一番ホームラン打ってるのはシェフィールドの10本。。。たった1/3 ちなみに、プーホルズは前半戦終了までにさらに2本ホームランを打ってるけど、メッツでは未だに10本が最高。このペースだと確実に年間20本打つ選手はいなさそうだな

そもそも何でこんな状況になってるかというと、メッツの4人の主力野手のうち3人もが長期にわたり故障者リスト入りしてること。今日オールスターも終わり、後半戦もすぐに始まるけど、この3人が戻ってくる時期の見込みはまだ立ってない。残された1人のデヴィッド・ライトは重責を感じてるのか、1人のみになってからはほとんど打ててない。シェフィールドは出る試合はそれなりに打つけど、歳なので休み休みでしか出場出来ない。

あとは、今シーズンからの新球場であるシティ・フィールドがかなり広いんだよね。おかげで三塁打が頻発して出たりしてなかなかエキサイティングではあるんだけど、本来の醍醐味であるホームランが激減した。ちなみに、前半戦の最後の試合ではたまたま2本ホームランが出たけど、それまでは8試合もホームランがなかった。球場のせいなのか、選手のせいなのか、とにかく今のメッツにはホームランは期待出来ない。。。ま、勝てばいいんだけど。

さっきCSをつけたら映らなかった。BSは大丈夫だったんだけど。で、寝るために電気消したら外が真っ白！かなり雨降ってそうだな

すでに今朝Twitterにて書いたことだけど、電車で見かけたiPhoneユーザーの2人が人差し指や中指を使って操作や文字入力をしてたんだよね。そりゃこう使わなきゃいけないってルールは無いわけだけど、そうやって使ってたらメチャクチャ使いにくいんじゃないかって思う。

僕の場合は完全に親指派。右手の親指で画面を全てをカバーする。スクロールも親指だし、文字入力ももちろん親指。残りの4本の指で縦向きで端末の裏を固定し、操作は完全に親指のみ。持ち方が固定されてるので、文字入力も慣れで素早く行える。

でも、人差し指で入力ってなると、なかなかピンポイントで押したい文字が押せないと思うんだよね。左手で端末を持ち、右手の人差し指で小ちゃいキーボードのキーに狙いを定めて「突く」。端末を固定する指と入力する指が同じ手に属してないことから、突こうにも必ずブレが起きる。これが、完全片手操作ならブレは起きえない。

で、同僚だけど、iPhoneは文字入力がソフトキーボードだから大変だと思い込んでるんだよね。そのため、キーボード付きのWillcomの端末を使い続けてる。端末が大きいって不満はこぼしてるんだけど、iPhoneを勧めても乗り気じゃない。。。そんなにソフトキーボードってイヤなもんかな？慣れれば確実に普通の携帯より早く打てると思うんだけどね。逆に、iPhoneに慣れすぎると、普通の携帯でメールが書けなくなった。「お」を入力するのに、「あ」を5回も叩かなきゃいけないのは正直ストレスが溜まる

。。。それは置いといて、この日のトピックは映画。秋吉久美子の日活青春映画3部作の「赤ちょうちん」を観たことを書いた。この映画は段々内容がヘビーになっていき、イマイチ面白さに欠けるんだけど、それと比べると3作目の「バージンブルース」は中年男が若い女を落とすためにてんやわんやするところが面白くて、その中年男を長門裕之が演じるのも見物だった。もちろん、不思議な存在感漂う秋吉も必見だ。

それにしても、60、70年代の映画はスゴく好きだ。何と言っても自由さがあり、それは映画的な作りの自由さでもあるし、描かれる内容の自由さでもある。俗にいうconventionというものを破り、何か新しいものを作り出そうとする創造意欲。「気狂いピエロ」しかり、「イージー・ライダー」しかり、「バニシング・ポイント」しかり。日本映画でも、そのうちブログに出てくるであろう「女必殺拳」しかり（？）。映画が「CG」ではなく「映画」であった時代。そんな時代への憧れが強い。

今回はあまりパッとしない内容だったので、2日分纏めた。でも、土日だけあって量自体は多い！何となくマッタリと過ごしてた証拠か

読み返してみても大したネタがなかったんだけど、無理矢理AtBat.tvについて補足してみる（上から11個目）。

そもそもAtBat.tvとは何か？

MLB at BatっていうアプリがUSのApp Storeで販売されてて、MLBの経過や結果が詳細に確認出来るようになってる。これに、今シーズン頭からGameday Audioという音声実況がライブで聴けるようになったんだけど、さらにOS3.0の登場をもって1日2試合のみ動画もライブで観れるようになったんだよね（ゆくゆくは全試合ライブで動画放映される予定）。このライブ動画がAtBat.tvと呼ばれるサービス。

でも、1つだけオチがあって、ブラックアウトという悪魔の制限が課せられること。iPhoneで見せるより広告だらけのテレビで試合を見させたいため、地元チームのホームゲームはこれでは見れないようになってる。つまり、ニューヨーク・メッツの本拠地の試合は、ニューヨークではAtBat.tv経由で見られない。でも、サンフランシスコからなら見れる。でも、メッツがサンフランシスコで試合をやれば、ニューヨークからは見れるものの、サンフランシスコでは見れない。ちなみに、このロジックは、MLBがWEBでも提供してるMLB.tvにも当てはまる。

じゃあ日本は、というと、MLB.tv共々、日本では全てのライブ中継がブロックされる。こんな端末（or Mac）で見せるより、スカパーにカネ払って見てほしい、というのが根底にあったとは思うんだけど、そもそも今年はスカパーでも放映されてないハズなんだよね。じゃあNHKのため？？

理由はよく分からないけど、それでもMLB.tvならライブで見るための抜け道が2つあった。1つは海外のプロキシを使うこと（技術的な部分は省略）。もう1つは海外のVPNを使うこと（同様に省略）。これらはアメリカの動画サービスのHuluにも使えるので、特にHuluにおいて重宝してる。

でも、AtBat.tvの場合はGPSで位置を確認してるのだった。。。つまり、IPアドレスで国や地域を判別するのではなく、実際に端末がどこにあるかを衛星経由で判断する。これはフェイク出来ないな ちなみに、GPSをオフにすると、その時点でAtBat.tvは使えなくなる。

せっかくの新機能を使えないのは結構残念ではあるんだけど、少なくともMLB.tvでは家に帰ってからアーカイブで試合を見るようにしてるから、そのルーチンの中では影響はないかなって思ってる。でも、変に制限をかけるブラックアウトは嫌いだな

The only show I buy at iTS is The Soup. It’s hilarious and I love the guy being so funny et all. I wish Chelsea Lately is in iTS, too, tho.

この日のエントリーは、おおまかに分けて3つ。マイケル・ジャクソンの死にショックを受け、歯医者でいたぶられ、そして3gsゲット。それにしても、マイケルの死によってファラのニュースがほぼ完全にかき消されちゃったのは残念だったな。

では、この日のメインイベントの3gsゲットについて。前日の予想ではそれなりに並ぶのかな、なんて思ってたんだけど、ランチ時にヨドバシを覗いてみると、なんと普通に在庫があるじゃないか！そんなもののためにわざわざ予約したのか、とWホワイトへの恨みがさらに募っていった。。。

でも、実際に表参道に行ってみると、全然並んでなかったんだよね。外では。広い店内で20人ほど並んでたけど、去年のフィーバーぶりと比べると全く話にならないぐらい。ちなみに、去年は始発で表参道に行き、並べないことが分かると渋谷、アキバと渡り歩き、最終的にアキバのヨドバシで7/13の引き渡し券をもらって帰った。その時はかなり嬉しかったもんだけど。。。下のTwitterでも書いたけど、結果として、今回は既に持ってる端末とほぼ同じものを予約して買うというところで、胸の高まりが全くなかったのかな？でも、今にして思えば、高揚感はなかったとしても、この使用における快適さからして、3gsを買ったことによる後悔は全くないな。見かけは同じでも、中身はやっぱり全然違う怪物だし。No regret at all!!!

3gsへの移行は簡単だった。単純に、3gのバックアップを取り、それを3gsに戻すだけ。設定等も完全に元に戻った。あと、3gsの転送スピードが速いので、結構あっという間だった。

それにしても、この日の寝る直前にファラ・フォーセットが死んだというニュースが飛び込んできたのにはビックリした。アメリカではファラの闘病生活を綴ったドキュメンタリーが最近公開されたこともあり、彼女が癌だったのは知っていた。だから、翌朝体験する衝撃（スーパースターの死）と比べると心は落ち着いてたんだけど、それにしても。。。子供の頃の憧れ（？）であった人が死んだのは結構ショックだった。

それにしても、人の死はなんて残酷なんだろう。逝く方も無念の気持ちを持ちつつこの世を後にするのかもしれないけど、亡くなることによる周りへの影響は計り知れない。愛すべき人が死んでしまったら、どんなに嘆き悲しむことだろう。生き続ける希望はあるのだろうか。考えるだけでも辛い。

God bless her, Farrah Fawcett. Loved her in Charlie’s Angels. Forever be remembered.
